God damn this was GREAT. It really hit the feels. No kids for me, I'm too crazy and don't want to pass it along... But i end up at these kinds of parties all the time and I know how it feels and you hit me in the feels.

Love your writing. Really and truly. This one resonates. Raised kids. Made the small talk at countless events. The parents of your kids’ friends, teammates, classmates becomes your new “friend” pool. It’s mostly awkward, obligatory and sometimes torturous. But thankfully there will be some keepers. But like all things, it’s temporary. And it will go by too fast. And then you’ll miss it.

I keep hearing about the it goes by too fast stuff. My oldest turns six this week. Can't believe how fast those six years went. Absolutely wild.
