I want to apologize to you because I misinterpreted initially! Your follow-up made me realize you were talking about *closed* captioning and not generating "original" text to write a caption for a photo in a post! One is transcription and the other is generative so yes, I agree there is a difference. I still applaud the desire to move away from it in general but I am sorry I misunderstood at first!
oh yeah. I would never. I'll write my own captions for photos thanks! But yeah, like I said, I'm not as pure as the driven snow, I just want people to examine their relationship with it all. I could see great medical, environmental, safety uses for AI, but none of that seems to be happening. Or at least not capturing the attention. In art, I find it poisonous.
